We've all tried to turn ourselves into a pickle to get out of family counseling, right? OK, maybe just Rick and me. But the next best thing to being a pickle is having a hand-made, life-sized (pickle-sized, actually), Pickle Rick action figure to take on all your inter-dimensional adventures.

To make this possible, we put together an animated website for your chance at the big (once again, pickle-sized, actually) prize. We love you too.

CARTOON NETWORK "ADVENTURE TIME" PROMOTIONAL PACKAGING

To reward the fandom and celebrate the success of Cartoon Network's hit show "Adventure Time" (plus sell some DVDs), Cartoon Network created a limited-edition DVD that included a fleece hat like what the show's protagonist wears. We worked on developing and producing the packaging as well as the DVD title screens.

 

Results:

Cartoon Network has an amazing in-house creative department that produces over 90% of its design work for marketing and packaging. Our studio is on a select shortlist of outside creative agencies who work them to develop everything from packaging to website. It's kind of a big thing.

ADULT SWIM'S "ROBOT CHICKEN WALKING DEAD SPECIAL" DVD PACKAGING AND PRODUCT LAUNCH MARKETING

What happens when the zombie hordes and our favorite characters of The Walking Dead become gummy, 8-inch stop-motion animated puppets? If Robot Chicken is at the wheel, it's bound to be something interesting.

We took the creative direction developed by Adult Swim for The Robot Chicken Walking Dead Special: Look Who’s Walking marketing campaign as a jumping-off point. Then we visually expand upon it making use of it's inside jokes and buckets of rubbery, stop-motion animated, fake-blood for the final design.

 

Results:

We've even created key creative work for 8 out of 10 of their most creative shows as ranked by Cinema Blend. (See the Top 10 here) And 30 out of all 51 shows they have produced. (See all 51 shows on Inverse)

"CREEPY TREATS" CUSTOM CANDY PACKAGE MARKETING PROMOTION

It may be the Tooth Fairy's least favorite holiday, but we love it. This year we sent out a retro candy sampler to our subscribers in a package designed inspired by old 1950s-1970s Spook Show posters.

 

Results & ROI:

This promotion $300 promotion sent to 100 prospects generated over $6,000 in projects in less than 1 week. And through email sign-ups, it helped increase our online mailing list from 200 to 500 qualified leads.

GEEK HEAVEN: ADULT SWIM & COMIC CON WEBSITES AND EMAIL MARKETING

For the last four years, we've developed Adult Swim's Comic-Con website. In 2018 we raised the bar to include design and management of a daily email campaign so Comic-Con attendees could stay up to date with all that is Adult Swim.

 

Results:

The mobile site and daily email helps over 15,000 Adult Swim fans schedule and get tickets to visit the Adult Swim at Comic-Con International booth.

THE ATLANTA JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL

Inspired by a mash-up of classic Hollywood, nostalgic poster art, and old newspaper movie listings, we turned it up to 11 to get the word out for the 2018 Atlanta Jewish Film Festival.

From print ads to bus shelters. From digital billboards to promos on the big screen. We're bringing the festival to new audiences and keeping it connected to old ones across Atlanta with this unique, neo-nostalgic vibe.

Results:

Not only did we reach our goal of increasing audience participation with younger adult audiences, but our work became part of the visual fabric of metro Atlanta for which is something artists and designers wish. But to have it be attached to such an amazing event gives it special meaning. Using the power of film to not only entertain, but to educate, create bridges, and open dialog across cultures makes the world a better place for everyone. HERE BE DRAGONS: CARTOON NETWORK "HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON" PROMOTION

For DreamWorks/Cartoon Network's "How to Train Your Dragon" we designed a media kit box for their PR materials, screener DVD, and a toy dragon. The box was based "The Book of Dragons," a key element used by the show's main character.

For Cartoon Network, we are one of the few go-to agencies they use that understands the brand and have the same high creative standards for design. In fact, using a basketball analogy, their project managers called us their "sixth man" because of how well we meshed with their internal creative team.

TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES "HOLLYWOOD HEAVYWEIGHTS" PROMOTION

If you're thinking of a promotional item that's hard-hitting, this one is, literally. Designed as a B2B promotion for Turner Classic Movies' boxing-movie festival, this four-foot-tall punching bag was shipped inflated in a huge box to over 300 cable affiliates. Talk about impact. Pow!

We also created a consumer marketing campaign featuring advertising in national magazines that incorporates the same distinctive visual style.

JURASSIC ARTS MOVIE PARODY POSTER

We love campy old movies. We love dinosaurs. We love vintage movie posters. So when designing the Maker-Faire Atlanta booth for Jurassic Arts, we put this together for a bit of fun. Based on the poster from Hammer Studios 1970 film "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth", we rebuilt the illustration and created a new title treatment for our version.

 

Results

It was just a one-off poster, but we were amazed at how many people wanted to buy it. Watch the trailer for a hoot!

GET YOUR GROOVE ON

Actively participating in our local community and helping promote local artist is one of our passions. We developed branding, logos, banners, posters, and t-shirts to promote this event. Even a video. Our hands also got dirty helping set up the festival and assisting vendors.

TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES "SUMMER OF DARKNESS" FILM NOIR FESTIVAL

What happens when you mix a shot Humphrey Bogart, a dash of Lauren Bacall, and a pinch of the great movie poster artist Saul Bass? It's a "Recipe for Trouble." The TCM "Summer of Darkness" was an on-air, summer-long film noir festival featuring the "darker side of human nature." Despite being a popular genre, selling something this dark could be poison for ratings. Our antidote, lighten the mood by developing a playful campaign inspired by many of the movies' pulpy characters and campy one-liners.

The campaign included a consumer ad campaign in newspapers and national magazines, movie theater trivia slides, on-air bumpers, and promotional items like refrigerator magnets, tote bags, and t-shirts for live film screenings in select cities.

POPE FOR A DAY

When the pope visits the US who doesn't get a little giddy? We took a standard manilla envelope, silk-screened a mitre design on it, added an illustrated instruction sheet, and voila! Now you can join in the festivities in style.
