THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX IS GOOD
You're competing for shelf space. You're competing for eyeballs. We help clients get both. We've helped a startup gain a foothold in Wal-Mart by designing beautiful packaging for underserved markets in the beauty industry. We've helped established brands stand out by visually redefining their products to resonate with new markets. How can we help you stand out?
DIET CHERRY COKE
When the Coca-Cola Company wanted to shift the target audience of Diet Cherry Coke away from older and middle-aged consumers to twenty-somethings they called us. Being experts in the visual language of pop-culture and knowing how to present it in mass-marketing format, we created a distinct, edgy new visual look for the Diet Cherry Coke packaging. It was so successful that we were further contracted to develop in-store marketing materials, look-books, and a brand style guide.
Design can and packaging graphics to attract younger audiences without losing the current top adult male diet beverage ranking.
We were commended on the excellence of our design solution and how well they resonated with the target market in focus groups. The new design effectively reached younger consumers without losing key existing consumers
This helped Diet Cherry Coke's redesign be one of Coca-Cola's quickest produced packaging projects developed by an outside agency.
CARTOON NETWORK'S "ADVENTURE TIME" PROMOTIONAL DVD PACKAGING
To reward the fandom and celebrate the success of Cartoon Network's hit show "Adventure Time" (plus sell some DVDs), Cartoon Network created a limited-edition DVD that included a fleece hat like what the show's protagonist wears. We worked on developing and producing the packaging as well as the DVD title screens.
Cartoon Network has an amazing in-house creative department that produces over 90% of its design work for marketing and packaging. Our studio is on a select shortlist of outside creative agencies who work them to develop everything from packaging to website. It's kind of a big thing.
TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES "THE ESSENTIALS" PROMOTIONAL DVD PACKAGING
To celebrate Turner Classic Movies' 10th anniversary we designed a commemorative package and book for three select titles from their "The Essentials" series. It was distributed as both a "thank you" to cable systems who offer TCM to customers and as a brand activation tool for cable systems not aware of the great programming on TCM. The collectors' packaging included: a specialty metallic paper slipcase, which was embossed, foil-stamped and die-cut; an inside sleeve with key movie images; three special-edition DVDs; and a booklet about the production and significance of each movie.
From the creation of Turner Classic Movies, we've designed everything from packaging to marketing materials for the network. Our partnership of over 20 years helped transform TCM from a startup to the top source for classic movies, even making them a household brand name.
BLUE Q "BALLS" MEN'S AND WOMEN'S BATH PRODUCTS
What do you get when you combine witty, pop-culture irreverence with high-quality specialty retail products? Blue Q, of course. The Pittsfield, MA-based company recruits award-winning artists and designers to tap into the pop-culture zeitgeist for product concepts, as well as art and design for its retail products. We've helped them develop several retail concepts currently available in stores, as well as packaging for BALLS bath products.
If being chosen to develop products for Blue Q was not cool enough, our studio won over 10 national and international awards for the packaging design.
OVER 50 DVD PACKAGE DESIGNS AND COUNTING...
Over the past 10-years, we have designed more than 50 DVD packages, often including onscreen menu navigation and product launch marketing materials. Designs include packaging for educational films and study materials, entertainment industry B2B marketing, and retail consumer entertainment. We've developed retail DVD packaging lines for popular TV shows, special edition box sets, as well as DVD packaging guidelines for TV serials. Many of our box sets and collectors editions have won both national and international design awards, and have been featured as examples of design excellence in books and publications worldwide.
Being Pop Culture experts and actually creating pop culture products is a testament to our research and understanding of unique audiences. But reading comments about the cool packaging on Amazon or seeing people buy one in a store transforms word and concepts into something concrete.
