MICROSCOPE STAMP 2

RECENT WORK

Hot of the press. Fresh baked. This just in. New and improved. We stay busy designing fun stuff for clients all the time. Here are some of our favorite projects from the past year. Enjoy!

2019 ATLNATA JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL

It was our second year to design the creative campaign for the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival. Inspired by the large number of films from around the world that are presented during the festival, for 2019 we developed a vintage travel poster theme.

We redrew classic travel poster backgrounds dating as far back as the 1900s, then illustrated new film-related "characters" to occupy the landscape.

ADULT SWIM'S "RICK AND MORTY" PICKLE RICK GIVE AWAY AND DVD PRODUCT LAUNCH

We've all tried to turn ourselves into a pickle to get out of family counseling, right? OK, maybe just Rick and me. But the next best thing to being a pickle is having a hand-made, life-sized (pickle-sized, actually), Pickle Rick action figure to take on all your inter-dimensional adventures.

To make this possible, we put together an animated website for your chance at the big (once again, pickle-sized, actually) prize. We love you too.

Results:

Email marketing featuring a special offer and linked landing page result in a 30% higher conversion rate compared to email only marketing. (MailChimp data)

ADULT SWIM SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON WEBSITE AND EMAIL MARKETING

Over the last four years, we've animated and built Adult Swim's Comic-Con website. In 2018 we raised the bar to include design and management of a daily email campaign so Comic-Con attendees could stay up to date with all that is Adult Swim.

Results:

The mobile site and daily email helps over 15,000 Adult Swim fans schedule and get tickets to visit the Adult Swim at Comic-Con International booth.

ROBOT CHICKEN "WALIKNG DEAD SPECIAL" DVD PACKAGING AND MARKETING

What happens when the zombie hordes and our favorite characters of The Walking Dead become gummy, 8-inch stop-motion animated puppets? If Robot Chicken is at the wheel, it's bound to be something interesting.

We took the creative direction developed by Adult Swim for The Robot Chicken Walking Dead Special: Look Who’s Walking marketing campaign as a jumping-off point. Then we visually expand upon it making use of it's inside jokes and buckets of rubbery, stop-motion animated, fake-blood for the final design.

Results:

We've even created key creative work for 8 out of 10 of their most creative shows as ranked by Cinema Blend. (See the Top 10 here) And 30 out of all 51 shows they have produced. (See all 51 shows on Inverse)

MEMPHIS MEETS MONDRIAN: CAMP FLIX REBRANDING & WEBSITE

Not all branding is a big-picture project. Sometimes it’s an evolution using a website redesign as the foundation. But to do it right, you need to have the chops to create something with a unique voice, yet the ability for a visual design system to be applied to other media and formats.

For Camp Flix, the initial scope of the project was a website refresh. Yet, their current UI was out of date and needed more than just an update. Many of the sites we create are product landing pages with unique restrictions that require them to be hand-coded. But this was the perfect project for us to use WordPress as the CMS along with a modern page-builder plugin to make it easy for the client to update.

From the start, we knew to create a site with a visual design that is fresh, yet professional was critical. The aesthetic also needed to be transferable to future marketing efforts such as online advertising, email marketing, newsletters, postcards, and posters. Furthermore, it needed to be both cool for kids to get excited about the camp, yet professional enough for parents to take it seriously.

To make the Camp Flix brand both fun and serious, we created a structured, modular system of blocks with black dividers, similar to a Mondrian painting, combined with playful 1990s Memphis-style shapes and colors.

Our type choices follow similar design principles. Simple bold fonts were chosen for impact and legibility. But despite the type being very bold, their round, open shapes used in light colors still creates a bright, friendly user experience.

Existing photography taken at the camp is an important feature in telling Camp Flix's brand story. But instead of relying solely on the photography to tell that story, we complemented it with modern, stylized illustrations. These unique illustrations communicate more abstractly while creating a memorable aesthetic. The same style is used for icons and informational graphics on the site. The friendly, memorable style of these illustrations, help differentiate Camp Flix from other summer camps.

If you have kids interested in film-making, or they're just creative in nature, this camp is perfect for them. Check out their site at www.campflix.com.

Results:

The year we did the sight redesign and brand refresh had the most signups in the camp's history. Because it's such a cool camp, we can't take all the credit, but we'd like to think our efforts helped. Check out their site at www.campflix.com.

2018 ATLANTA JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL

It was both exciting and an honor to design the creative campaign for the 2018 Atlanta Jewish Film Festival. Our biggest challenge was to communicate a large amount of information about the depth and diversity of the festival in an exciting format that would appeal to the existing AJFF audience as well as new audiences.

Inspired by vintage concert posters, especially those produced by the Globe Poster Company between the 1950s and 1980s, our solution allowed us to create complex, colorful, dynamic art that playfully demands attention and draws the viewer in. The nostalgic style also capitalizes on current design trends popular with 20-30-year-olds, as well as connecting with the 30+ markets familiar with the original look.

Results/Testimonial:

Not only did we reach our goal of increasing audience participation with younger adult audiences, but our work became part of the visual fabric of metro Atlanta for which is something artists and designers wish. But to have it be attached to such an amazing event gives it special meaning. Using the power of film to not only entertain, but to educate, create bridges, and open dialog across cultures makes the world a better place for everyone. Persuasion Bureau is proud to be part of this worthwhile vision of hope.

ROCKIN' A NOSTALGIC VIBE

Pogo Pictures came to us with the challenge of creating a t-shirt to give to their clients that juxtaposed vintage style with modern sensibilities. A combination of hand-lettering and Victorian design elements did the trick!

Results:

We're big on promoting "Hollywood of the South" and love helping the Atlanta film and entertainment industry do it too.
