Food and Beverage

The customers have an opinion about your company or product long before they step into your office or store, even before they start doing the research about it online. Most of the impression is gained just by looking at your campaign — actually just by glancing at it.

The Spotted Trotter

Quality Food Demands Quality Design

Not using high-quality visuals in the food and beverage industry can literally put you through the meat grinder. That's because consumers quickly form strong emotional opinions about food, beverages, and restaurants based on the visual aspects of a company's branding, packaging, and marketing. In fact, many customers equate product quality with product packaging and marketing.

We helped this local start-up get up off the ground by designing their logo and consulting on packaging and marketing materials. The attention to quality they pay in developing their products is reflected in their branding. Over the first two years of their business after the branding project, they had moved to from only being at farmers markets on weekends to having two brick and mortar locations in Atlanta.

Slowfood Atlanta

Visually Connecting to the Community

As awareness of the importance of food quality and food diversity grows, SlowFood is one of the world leaders in the movement. Founded by Carlos Petrini as a grassroots organization, it has grown to over 200 local chapters in the U.S. alone.

We worked with the Atlanta Chapter on marketing events and creating collectible event posters, cookbooks, and content for social media.

For Slow Food Atlanta, we designed beautifully illustrated posters to be displayed in restaurants, greengrocers, and coffee shops to promote events and to be adapted for social media. They also were produced as limited-edition art prints to be sold and given away at an event.

Diet Cherry Coke

Rebranding, Packaging & Point of Purchase Displays

When the Coca-Cola Company wanted to shift the target audience of Diet Cherry Coke away from older and middle-aged consumers to twenty-somethings they called us. Being experts in the visual language of pop-culture and knowing how to present it in mass-marketing format, we created a distinct, edgy new visual look for the Diet Cherry Coke packaging. It was so successful that we were further contracted to develop in-store marketing materials, look-books, and a brand style guide.

Golden Corral Restaurants

The Importance of Visual Content in Food and Beverage Marketing

In restaurant marketing, your consumer-facing marketing needs to look at least as good as your food. In fact, studies have shown people will spend more and rank products higher (including tasting better) if the visuals are more appealing.

When Golden Corral wanted to shift away from using freelancers for developing their test promotions we were chosen for the job by their promotions agency. The visuals speak for themselves.

92.6 % of people say the visual dimension is the top factor affecting the purchase decision (Kissmetrics)

Community Q BBQ

Community Q BBQ Website

Making great BBQ is like making great design. It's about passion and commitment. For over 10 years Community Q BBQ has been feeding the masses "until the meat runs out." We were happy to be there when they started.

For most destination restaurants, your website is the first interaction you'll have with consumers. If it doesn't look good or is difficult to make a reservation, it might be your last.

Caffeinds Specialty Coffee

Buzz-worthy Branding & Packaging Design

Often when companies start owners produce all branding and artwork themselves. Or they use a patchwork of friends and freelancers to do it. But as their business grows, they find they need to more efficiently allocate resources and delegate responsibilities. This is when they usually turn to reliable design and branding professionals. We are a perfect fit for this next step. We are a small agency with both specialty product and big-brand marketing experience. We can take products and services to the next level and support them when they get there. We produce innovative and exciting solutions that speak to the ways customers define themselves. The Caffeinds packaging illustrates how we helped an independent coffee shop go from hand stamped and stickered bags to a retail-savvy brand sold in their store and online.
